Marlo was  born and brought up in Winnipeg, Canada where she obtained a Bachelor in Education from the University of Winnipeg and started teaching at a number of local schools. In 2001 Marlo  moved to the UK, teaching at a number of Primary Schools, including a special SEMH primary school which led her to pursue a Masters in Education with a focus on SEN (SEMH) at Kingston University.

 

Marlo's experience and  interest in helping children with special educational needs continues and alongside teaching in both state and independent mainstream schools she now offers assessments for learners who may have a specific learning difficulty.  


Marlo enjoys staying active and competing in the sport of CrossFit and loves food, wine and travel. Marlo has two teenage sons, one of whom attends a special school for learners with SEND. Having experienced, both on a personal and professional level, how having an additional need impacts ones academic and social emotional level it has provided Marlo with a real insight into the needs of children facing educational challenges. Marlo has a real passion for helping all learners succeed and fulfil their undoubted potential.
